I have always had a passion for animals and was fortunate to have been brought up with cats, dogs and horses over the years and that in turn encouraged me into wanting to work with animals as a career.
I joined the Royal Air Force in November 1999 at the age of 19 and became a RAF Police Dog Handler. I then progressed to being a dog trainer and in turn had the amazing opportunity of deploying to and living in some beautiful places around the world with my furry friends.
I left the military due to an injury in November 2011 and retrained as a dog groomer. I then incorporated my previous training to help dogs be introduced to grooming and to help those that needed to gain trust and some reassurance to make grooming a pleasurable experience for them. During my years as a groomer I also had several cat clients in need of a bit of a pamper, from belly trims to full lion clips!
Early in 2021, my husband Simon and I visited Catsworth and and we fell in love the place! Any opportunity to work with and cuddle another fur baby and I was sold! Over several weeks I visited Janet, the previous owner of Catsworth House, who kindly trained me on how to achieve a tip top standard throughout the cat hotel, which I endeavour to maintain on a daily basis.
In June 2021, Simon and I, our two young daughters, and our little old Maltese dog Teddy moved into our forever home adjacent to the cattery, and have loved every minute since.
